Be a Boss — who and what is it?
Be a Boss is a national event that promotes female entrepreneurship. It consists of 7 stages and concludes with a grand finale in the capital, Paris.
The objective: to inspire entrepreneurial ambitions in young women, while helping them break down the stereotypes and barriers that some women face when it comes to entrepreneurship and running a business.
By travelling across different regions, the aim is also to discover and identify future rising stars with equally captivating projects. At each stage, participants — project holders and young entrepreneurs — attend a variety of formats: testimonials from women entrepreneurs, pitches, round tables and keynotes on business topics (shareholder agreements, business plans, funding, networking, insurance, pitching, intellectual property…).
The "Be a Boss Tour" allows more than 1,000 women — project holders or already entrepreneurs — to attend the forum in their region each year and/or to present their project locally for a chance to win the "Be a Boss Awards".
The finalists from each region then attend the closing day in Paris, and 3 of them will be recognised at the Be a Boss Awards 2021, with no less than €30,000 to spend at a communications agency to help launch their project!
A partner of the Be a Boss Tour for several years now, the Occitanie stage of the Be a Boss Tour 2021 took place at our campus.
After an intense morning of testimonials and sharing, 7 women entrepreneurs had the opportunity to pitch their project to a panel of professionals and fellow entrepreneurs. That's the Be a Boss principle: selecting 2 candidates per region to take part in the grand finale in Paris, to be held on September 30th in person (we hope).
Once again this year, many inspiring projects were presented and two candidates caught the jury's attention.

Today, 40% of Type 1 diabetic patients still have poorly controlled diabetes. DiappyMed's ambition is to make treatment accessible to all patients. To achieve this, we are developing a smart insulin dosing mobile application, based on data science and artificial intelligence technologies, which delivers an insulin dose in a simple, precise and personalised way based on food intake, physical activity, and individual physiological parameters.

Being a partner of the Be a Boss Tour doesn't simply mean hosting this event at our school — it also means supporting female entrepreneurship. As such, Digital Campus is offering our two Occitanie finalists five months of mentoring through our Major Projects programme. A dedicated student team will collaborate with them to deliver, according to their needs, a visual identity, a website, a communications plan, and more.
This is also, above all, what Digital Campus stands for: support, solidarity and sharing! Congratulations again to all 7 candidates and a big well done to our two winners!
