Christmas Digidej at Digital Campus Bordeaux.

Christmas has come early for students at Digital Campus Bordeaux!

The first Digidej events for students will kick off this month, on 18 and 19 December 2013.

On the agenda for these two events:

  • 18 December: Nicolas Leroy-Floriot, CEO of Cheops Technology.
  • 19 December: Marie-Laure Hubert-Nasser, Communications Director of the City of Bordeaux, blogger and novelist.

Nicolas Leroy-Floriot: sharing knowledge with a data centre specialist

Nicolas leads Cheops Technology, one of France's largest data centre companies, specialising in IT infrastructure and cloud computing. Based in Bordeaux and across France through its 11 regional offices, Cheops Technology proves, if proof were needed, Bordeaux's leading position in the digital sector — and gives Digital Campus students every reason to picture a bright professional future in this remarkable region. Nicolas Leroy-Floriot will come to share his career journey and his experience as a business leader. He will outline his vision for his company and his sector, along with the values of excellence and closeness that he undoubtedly shares with the school. A meeting with a strong-minded business leader that could very well lead to future collaboration for some.

Marie-Laure Hubert-Nasser: an exceptional woman championing women's causes in Bordeaux

A multi-talented, dynamic, and committed figure, Marie-Laure will discuss with female students at the Bordeaux campus her commitment to advancing women's rights. A novelist, blogger, and Communications Director of the City of Bordeaux, this activist is a reference in the women's blogging world. During her visit, she will present her blog "Allez Bordelaises". Always on the lookout for extraordinary personalities, she is keen to open her editorial team to young female bloggers — a wonderful opportunity for students to catch her eye and spark a fruitful collaboration.

She will also take the opportunity to present her debut novel, La carapace de la tortue (The Turtle's Shell). This event is part of the approach initiated three years ago by Digital Campus Bordeaux, which is committed to supporting associations and networks that help young women thrive in the digital world.
