The Digital Arts Festival will take place from 6 to 8 July 2017 in the town of Saint-Orens. The Altigone venue hosts the event, organised in collaboration with Digital Campus Toulouse and its students.
The Digital Arts Festival showcases art forms that draw on a wide range of digital tools. There will therefore be demonstrations centred on digital tools: 3D printing, video game coding, computer-assisted music production (DAW), and more. This festival is open to everyone; it is aimed as much at the "geek" as at someone completely averse to computers and technology. The idea is to introduce this sometimes overly technical world in a more playful way.
During this event there will be talks, exhibitions, shows, concerts, interactive art installations, a preview of the animated film "The Jungle Bunch" and other activities related to digital art.
So it was 6 students, from first year to fifth year (in the Bachelor's in Web Project Management, in the Bridging year and in the Master's in Digital Strategy Expertise) who combined their skills as part of the "Project Wednesdays". Designers, front-end developers and communications specialists brought together their profiles to create a visual identity and a logo for the festival. From this deliverable flows the entire identity of the festival: all the visual communication materials (flyers, posters, banners, metro displays, etc.), the website, the Facebook page and the programmes.
Following the students' proposals, the festival took on a very artistic look, blending geometry and light painting with the digital.
It is this kind of project and partner that allows students to share what they have learned and their experience, but also to put it into practice. This complementarity of roles creates a much more dynamic and higher-quality working environment. The difference in experience enables newcomers to be pushed forward and to learn from their elders.
