After a very successful edition focused on digital technology in the service of ocean conservation, Digital Campus Bordeaux is organising its next "Dessine-moi un métier digital" (#DMUNMD) roundtable on Wednesday 15 May, from 5 pm to 7 pm, on a powerful and responsibly digital topic: solidarity.
This year, Digital Campus has formalised a wonderful responsible digital partnership with Wanted Community — the first mutual support and solidarity community on Facebook, bringing together more than 800,000 active members. Across every school in the Digital Campus network, students and teaching staff committed to solidarity-driven actions: collecting warm clothing and hygiene products, social projects, volunteering, participating in outreach rounds (maraudes), donating skills… The DC Family put itself at the service of people in need with a genuine long-term commitment. Naturally, in Bordeaux — home of the first Wanted Community headquarters, the Wanted Café — the school wanted to dedicate an event to solidarity, to show that every gesture matters and that it is up to our young Digital Changemakers to drive tomorrow's change. More than a simple event, this edition of Dessine-moi un métier digital takes place during Solidarity Week (13–17 May), during which students will be able to discover exhibitions, projects, take part in collections, and join a hackathon led by Master's students.
At this roundtable, the school will have the pleasure of welcoming emblematic players in the solidarity space, including:
Makesense (an international community bringing together volunteers to help social entrepreneurs solve their challenges)
Un rien c'est tout (a quick and simple micro-donation solution available during online purchases, benefiting social and solidarity organisations)
Wanted Community
Together we will discuss the impact of digital technology on the solidarity actions carried out by each of these organisations in the 21st century.
Join us at Digital Campus Bordeaux on the Bassins à Flot Campus, 20 quai Lawton, to take part in DMUNMD! Free event, open to all.
