For its big freshers' integration day on 26 September, Digital Campus, the web school in Rennes, set up at the FrenchTech premises at Mabilay to welcome 5 instructors from the Cours Florent.

Held under the banner of theatre and improv, the day brought together nearly 190 students. Jumps, movement exercises, warm-ups — a theatrical wake-up call kicked off the morning. It was only after this warm-up that the theme, kept secret for many weeks, was finally revealed to the students.

Led by Matthieu Gambier, improvisation teacher at the Cours Florent, 4 third-year Bachelor Web students ran a series of creative workshops throughout the day. Parodies of iconic film scenes, improvisations set to music, mime performances, and sketches inspired by everyday situations followed one another in quick succession. Laughter and good spirits were on the menu — rain notwithstanding.

The highlight of the event was the 5 actors taking the stage for short sketches that were by turns funny and moving. Marion, Lucile, Dennis, Adib and Matthieu also coached 3 members of DC Rennes for a final, electrifying on-stage performance. A long standing ovation from the students thanked the 5 exceptional guests for sharing their passion and expertise. The event wrapped up in style over pizza and drinks. There is certainly no shortage of energy at DC Rennes at the start of term!
