Learning at Digital Campus goes beyond acquiring theoretical knowledge — it also extends to applying that knowledge in the real world. At our school, this philosophy takes shape through DC Start projects, a genuine entrepreneurship laboratory within our Master's programmes.
What is DC Start?
Much more than a simple academic project, DC Start is an immersive experience that allows Master's students to discover the world of entrepreneurship in all its dimensions. With the goal of familiarising them with the challenges and opportunities of the business world and preparing them to start their own ventures. To this end, they are supported and guided throughout their journey by the programme director and all specialist instructors. The projects that emerge from this programme are as diverse as the skills of the students behind them. Each team develops a unique idea, often related to the specialisation they chose when joining Digital Campus. Whether in digital marketing, web design, data science, or digital communication, the projects cover a wide range of sectors and innovative concepts.
This challenge is validated through several oral presentations under exam conditions, allowing students to learn how to pitch their project and have their progress assessed, just as they would with real clients. This is a real asset for developing both their communication skills and their technical abilities. The culminating point of the DC Start journey is the project presentation at the end of the Master's programme. This exercise challenges students to synthesise all their knowledge and experience into a compelling presentation. They must not only explain their idea, but also demonstrate its viability, its market potential, and its competitive advantages.
In Bordeaux, DC Start has given rise to many exciting projects over the years. Some of them have even continued to grow after the end of the students' studies.
