The game is on! Over two days, the Digital Campus team took on a brand new challenge with some surprising results: teaching digital skills to children!
From 24 to 25 May, Digital Campus took part for the first time in the 2024 edition of the Digital Games festival, at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles.
100 players in the fields of video games, graphic arts and digital technology
Organised by the Hauts-de-Seine Department, this festival aims to showcase and make accessible the tools of digital technology and graphic arts. It encourages young audiences (secondary school students, sixth-formers, and higher education students) to explore the different schools, companies and careers in these sectors.
Two workshops to explore augmented reality and AI-enhanced video
For the occasion, Digital Campus offered visitors two participatory workshops:
- Augmented Reality Workshop
Visitors were able to discover augmented reality through a demo of the Adobe Aero application. They had the chance to ask all their questions to our facilitator and explore various 3D element models available in the app, interacting with them by placing them on the stand using an iPhone.
The little secret shared by our facilitator Pauline Goyard? Using the tools provided by Adobe Aero to create your own interactive portfolio!
- Video Editing Workshop
The AI-enhanced video editing workshop was crafted by our final-year Master's students. Their demo was designed entirely to delight our young visitors! Our student facilitators guided curious minds step by step through how to create a 3D avatar from a portrait photo taken in real time at our stand, and personalise it using AI.
