Jerôme Fernandez visits Digital Campus Bordeaux.

12 April 2012: Meeting between Jérôme Fernandez and students at Digital Campus Bordeaux.
4:00 pm:  A long white car passes through the gate of the Bissy campus estate1, a star at the wheel, under the impressed and admiring gazes of students, teachers, and members of management.

Jerôme Fernandez commands attention — no need for introductions, everyone recognises him. The captain of the French national handball team walks through the hall of the red building and enters a packed room, eager to hear from the Olympic champion, two-time world champion, and European champion.

Before a full house, the group of Digital Campus students in charge of the Mérignac Handball project opens the event by presenting the progress of their graphic design work to the great player, the Mérignac Handball club representatives, and the regional sports press. After many exchanges between Jérôme Fernandez and the audience, facilitated by Philippe Schoda (Campus Director) on the meaning of sporting values, ambition, and competitiveness, a second group of students steps aside with the star to conduct a filmed interview, which will very soon be broadcast on the Sports infos 33 website of Pascal Pierozzi, journalist at France Bleue Gironde.

Once the session ended, Jérôme Fernandez, ever smiling, willingly obliged with autographs and photos for over 100 students.

5:25 pm: the hero of the day, expected by France 3 Aquitaine on the other side of the city, left in a hurry, leaving the students starry-eyed.
