Monday 22 January: the EDO Campus, the Montpellier campus, hosted the steering committee of La Place Créative for a full day. A unique opportunity to be at the heart of the exchanges and projects aimed at accelerating creativity in the Occitanie region.
The EDO Campus served as the meeting point for the steering committee of La Place Créative, organised by the Hérault Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI — Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie), chaired by Samuel HERVE, Founder-Director of AKTE Services and President of the La Place Créative steering committee.
This meeting, the highlight of the collaboration between key stakeholders, brought together a diverse range of participants — from project holders and entrepreneurs to employees and students — underscoring the importance of this annual event for professionals in business creation and takeover in the Occitanie region.
La Place Créative, as a flagship event, brought together business leaders, consultants, professional bodies, experts and self-employed professionals.
These stakeholders exchanged ideas and put forward concrete solutions for structuring entrepreneurial projects.
Among the highlights of La Place Créative were informative conferences, exhibitions showcasing innovative initiatives, and one-to-one appointments with experts covering crucial areas such as business support, financing, legal matters, taxation, social affairs, insurance, innovation, and intellectual property.
"Every year, nearly 10,000 businesses are created in the Hérault department. Hence the importance of offering business creators and young leaders a key event like La Place Créative, so they can approach entrepreneurship with confidence."
Key moments also punctuated this gathering, fostering fruitful exchanges and the creation of synergies among participants.
The event proved to be an essential space for Hérault's business networks, highlighting the importance of not leaving entrepreneurs isolated. In a context where collective effort and the building of connections between business leaders are crucial, business networks play a fundamental role by encouraging the sharing of experiences, the creation of synergies and debate on the day-to-day challenges facing companies.
The diversity of networks available in the region offers entrepreneurs connection opportunities that match their specific needs.
The day also provided an opportunity for an in-depth retrospective on 2023, allowing participants to assess achievements and challenges encountered during that period. In parallel, proactive planning for 2024 was set in motion, with a focus on the flagship annual event scheduled for 4 December 2024.
The confirmed involvement of the EDO Campus and its schools in this event underlines their ongoing commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, promising a year rich in opportunities and fruitful collaborations.
