In campuses not so far away…
Pre-master's student teams from across the Digital Campus galaxy went head to head.
After a week of intense work, brick by brick, they built their communications plan. Then came the moment to present their project to the LEGO group…
Not sure what's going on? That's perfectly normal!
Here's a look back at a week of the Pre-Master's National Challenge, blending the Star Wars universe with the world's most popular construction toy — follow the guide!
Every year, our pre-master's students compete in teams during a one-week hackathon (an intensive competition) held simultaneously across all our campuses in France.
The last major milestone before students head off on internship, each campus forms its teams. Supervised throughout the challenge by a coordinator, the teams present their solutions after a week of intensive work. The best team will represent their campus city in a final showdown before the company that proposed the project. Each year, a new prestigious company puts forward a brief for our students.
The aim of this competition: to put students in a real-world team project management situation, developing and implementing a communications strategy (resources, content creation, etc.) — and, of course, to persuade the company during the final oral presentation.
Who hasn't heard of this construction company celebrating its 90th anniversary this year?
Rich and diverse universes, a characteristic yellow colour, and passionate fans around the world — LEGO is a true icon of toys and pop culture!
The brief set for students is as timely as it is exciting: How to hack May the 4th to create a sense of complicity with Star Wars fans?
Enough to delight fans of the little brick and Jedis alike!
It was a truly enriching human adventure — both on campuses and for the companies that support and put forward these exciting briefs for our students.
Julie from LEGO reflects on the experience: "I found the experience as refreshing as it was inspiring. I was very pleasantly surprised by the diversity among the students, and on this particular point, I must say that Digital Campus is a true source of inspiration — I have no doubt that you are a breeding ground for the talents of tomorrow."
At the end of this week-long challenge, the Rennes team and a Paris team tied for first place and were crowned joint winners of the 2022 edition of the Pre-Master's National Challenge.
Among our students' standout proposals: a viral campaign, a web platform, inspiring locations, and an activation leveraging scarcity mechanics…
In a word: Congratulations!
