Tuesday 1 October. Rennes. Nearly a hundred students gather in the main hall of the FrenchTech to attend the launch of the 2019 Major Projects.
Project leads have 5 minutes to convince students to commit to their project through to March. Over the course of nearly an hour and a half, 13 projects are pitched and championed by dedicated professionals.
Health, ecology, local economy, technical innovation, culture — the projects are varied. Start-ups, associations, and SMEs take the floor one after another before an attentive audience. Among the 13 projects in the 2019 cohort, Biocoop, Nous Anti-Gaspi, and Marché Délice — all centred around food — share the spotlight with Cordon Electronics, a major player in electronics refurbishment, as well as the association Coeur Paillettes, founded by Marie and Valérie from the teaching team at Digital Campus Rennes.
It is now up to the students to rise to the challenge of each project! Results will be announced on 10 March 2020 for the closing of this 2019 edition of the Major Projects.
