This early autumn, Digital Campus in Strasbourg is taking a stand against breast cancer by joining the Pink October (Octobre Rose) awareness campaign. An opportunity to learn more about this annual, international initiative, and to come together and support research!
October is the month to mobilise!
Launched in 1985 in the United States and in 1994 in France, Pink October is more than a simple awareness campaign; it is a global movement with a threefold objective: to raise public awareness, encourage breast cancer screening, and promote research.
Let us not forget that breast cancer remains the most common cancer affecting women worldwide, and that it can be detected with a few simple steps… so one message:
Get screened!
At Digital Campus, we firmly believe that training great professionals also means shaping individuals who are principled, responsible, and aware of the social challenges around them.
That is why the school is committed to cultivating values of solidarity and civic engagement among its students.
The entire Strasbourg Kampus team is therefore proud to support Pink October and to lead by example, mobilising for the community and inviting its students to follow the path of social responsibility.
This October, Kapitole is stepping up and taking the lead in the fight against breast cancer.
Throughout the month, you will be able to discover the initiatives of the student union (BDE) of the Kampus:
- Awareness-raising actions: to promote prevention and educate the school's students, the BDE will be sharing a number of resources that we strongly encourage you to explore.
- Dedicated photo booth: as a sign of solidarity, the student union has set up a temporary photo space. The theme? Pink, of course!
- Fundraising: to provide financial support to the fight against breast cancer, the BDE is organising a fundraising drive. Every contribution — no matter how small — counts and makes a difference.
