You can't have missed it — it always generates a great deal of buzz when it appears on our calendar, and last Thursday, women took centre stage: it was International Women's Rights Day.
To mark the occasion, and as every year since 2013, the Profession'L fair opened its doors at the Hôtel de Ville in Bordeaux.
For the second year running, Digital Campus Bordeaux is proud to be a partner of this event.
What is the Profession'L fair?
As the official website puts it: "Profession'L is a fair dedicated to women seeking concrete, personalised answers through access to specialist advisors on the topics of training, recruitment, support, and entrepreneurship."
Indeed, it was following difficult career transitions that Séverine VALETTE and Valentine BARDINET agreed on the value of creating a fair where women could come together to exchange, share, and find answers for exploring new professional paths.
Through a range of stands, talks, and sessions, this fair — created by women for women — offers several information hubs tailored to each visitor's needs, ambitions, and perspectives, designed to attract an audience that may sometimes be hesitant or simply unaware of the support available to them.

One of Profession'L's greatest strengths is its physical layout, which takes visitors on a genuine discovery journey. The fair is structured around 4 distinct hubs:

  •  Training: Make a fresh start
  • Recruitment: Find a job
  • Entrepreneurship: Launch your own business
  • Personal support: Approach your career from a new angle
If there is one value that we hold dear, it is the inclusion of women in digital professions. It was therefore with particular resonance that we took part in the Profession'L adventure for the first time — and it was a success! Our Digital Campus students handled all the video coverage of the event to produce an After Movie, as well as managing the social media community for 48 hours. Once again, with great pleasure, we wanted to show our support but in new ways. Johan JOACHIM and Nicolas Da CRUZ, members of the Digital Campus team, pitched to around a hundred visitors, sharing key tips and best reflexes on two important topics in digital career transitions: - How to manage your image on the web? - What video format is best when building your personal brand? In addition, and just like last year, two volunteer students, Maxime VINCENT and Ambre LOURENÇO, offered their enthusiasm to handle communications around the day on the fair's social media channels: interviews with partners, exhibitors, and visitors for social media. Our stand was also on hand to present all of our adult training programmes. After two intense days, Profession'L closed its doors in Bordeaux and will next open them in Poitiers on 22 June 2018: Save the Date! These fairs are flourishing across France, and initiatives to advance women's status in the professional world are growing in number. Women's rights are given their full recognition here, ensuring they are not confined to a single day each year.
