For the first time at Digital Campus, on March 12 we sent several of our Tech program students to compete in MasterDevFrance, the largest live coding competition in the country, bringing together more than 800 developers who rose to the challenge.
On Wednesday, March 12, Digital Campus propelled its Bachelor Web Development and Tech Lead Master's students into the arena of the 9th edition of the Master dev France competition, organized by Docaposte at Paris Montreuil Expo. The event brought together more than 800 professional developers and students to compete in the largest live coding competition in the country.
This year's theme: "The future of AI is human." From an ethical and societal perspective, AI was celebrated in around twenty conferences and also integrated into the live coding competition.
Digital Campus Paris sent a team of 10 top guns, the team name for the occasion: the codebreakers!
Our second-year Tech Lead Master's student, Nicolas Le Bozec, stood out from the very first qualifying round by claiming first place, which earned him a spot in the Grand Final. In this first qualifying round, Nicolas was followed in the rankings by Houssam Bourkane, also a second-year Tech Lead Master's student, who placed fourth.
In the final, entirely focused on optimization, Nicolas chose C to defend his chances, ultimately finishing successfully in 35th place in the overall standings (out of more than 800 participants!).
The competition is structured as a test of speed and adaptability, with 16 programming languages to choose from, including: Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, C++, TypeScript, Go, Haskell, Kotlin, Swift, Ruby, Scala, C. Six 45-minute qualifying sessions alternate between an algorithm question to test logical thinking and an optimization question to push the limits of code.
A first participation, an unforgettable experience, and a great source of pride for the entire Codebreakers team!
Can't wait for the next edition!
"This success perfectly illustrates the mindset of our students: talented, committed, and resilient!"
