What are the key ingredients for a successful start to the year and a great induction day? Joy, team spirit, and a little sweat! Digital Campus, the digital school in Lyon, welcomed 120 students this year, including 80 on work-study contracts. And what better way to build cohesion across year groups? Sport? Yes — but in the mud!
As part of the induction day, Digital Campus Lyon students were invited to Fort Vancia. A surprise organised by the school's team for students across all programmes (Foundation Year, Master's, and Professional Web Training).
Armed with their jogging suits, parkas and fleeces (it was very cold), and with faces painted in war colours, the students had no idea what was in store for them., Divided into teams, students, staff members and professional training interns took on the challenges set by the fort: riddles, military drills and, above all… obstacle courses that had more than a few people breaking a sweat!, Each team went all out to win, taking on the commando course and the challenge pit — Koh-Lanta style. Between press-ups, rolls, crawling through dirt, scaling walls, lifting beams, building human pyramids and navigating in the dark, students were able to push past their limits and their fears, and live through an extraordinary adventure., A wonderful way to build connections, foster collaboration and team spirit… all in great fun!
