42 days to create a film — could you do it?

They have just left secondary school, and in 6 weeks they produce a short film: screenplay, casting, directing, editing, colour grading, sound recording — the full package. A demanding module, but the results speak for themselves!

For its thirteenth edition, the now-legendary Nikon Film Festival challenged our students to work with the number 13. A theme that leaves plenty of room for imagination, without falling into the clichés of superstition!

Two films are in the running:

« Je suis en slip »

Vincent and Raphaël find themselves in an awkward situation after forgetting the code to get out of the house they were robbing. Tristan, an accomplice waiting outside, uses his creativity to help them guess the code through a series of mime performances. The owner is on his way — will Vincent and Raphaël manage to crack the code in time?

« Je suis pas si mal »

Juliette, reserved and innocent, once again finds herself caught up in the strange adventures of her friend Victoria. In their shared quest for perfection, an eccentric shopkeeper offers them a range of extraordinary companions, each more unusual than the last. Will any of them live up to their expectations?

Smartwatches, smart speakers — how far will these devices, supposedly designed to help us improve and optimise our lifestyles, go? A connected sleep? At a time when sleep feels like the one moment to actually disconnect from everything vying for our attention each day… Genuine added value, or a symptom of our obsession with constantly monitoring our performance?

This wide-ranging topic was tackled by our first-year students.

Discover our students' creations from 24 April on the Grand Angle platform of the MAIF Foundation. You will be able to vote for your favourite video made by our students from 24 April to 22 May.

A panel of industry professionals will select the winners from the most-watched videos at the final on 26 May. Visit: https://concoursgrandangle.fondation-maif.fr/

Committed films for the Human Rights League

The Human Rights League (Ligue des droits de l'Homme) commissioned our students to produce two awareness campaigns: one on racial profiling (contrôle au faciès) and one on humiliating body searches and abusive fixed-penalty fines.

Stunning productions that were commended by all the judges in attendance.
