You have just graduated from a BTS (vocational higher education diploma, equivalent to a two-year post-secondary qualification) and are now wondering whether to enter the workforce or continue your studies — and if you do continue, which path to take?
Before making a decision, there are a few questions to ask yourself:

  • do you want to pursue a longer course of study?
  • what are your short- and long-term goals?
  • do you want to continue studying?
  • do you want to enter the working world?

Your two options are: enter professional life or continue your studies.
Option 1 – find a job:
- Around 56% of BTS graduates look for work after obtaining their diploma. If you choose this route, know that your two-year post-secondary qualification will be highly valued, as the diploma is designed to meet the needs of businesses across all sectors (banking, tourism, retail, industry, etc.).

Option 2: Continue your studies

You have completed a two-year post-secondary qualification and wish to continue with a three-year Bachelor's degree.

You can choose between a professional Bachelor's degree (built on a partnership between universities and businesses) or a general university Bachelor's degree. Depending on your location (in the Aquitaine, Occitanie, Rhône-Alpes, Brittany regions, etc.), you have a wide range of options.

Opting for a professional Bachelor's degree: this professional Bachelor's will give you a three-year qualification while also opening doors to rapid entry into the workforce, as most professional Bachelor's programmes are completed through work-study arrangements. The main advantage of this route is the strong specialisation you will gain by the end.

Opting for a general Bachelor's degree: the advantage of a general Bachelor's is that you can continue on to a Master's degree afterwards, in which case you could opt for a university or a professionalised university institute (IUP).

Opting for a business school or engineering school: after your BTS, you can also head towards a business school or engineering school, depending on the specialisms you wish to develop. Admission to these schools is generally through a competitive entrance exam.

Opting for a specialist school: depending on the career you are aiming for, you can join one of the many specialist schools (multimedia, art, interior design, design, etc.) that award a certified level 7 qualification equivalent to a five-year degree, such as Digital Campus.

Joining Digital Campus

After your BTS, you can enrol in our intensive-track Bachelor's. In one year, you will build on your existing knowledge and specialise in digital professions. Throughout the year, you will learn digital project management, web design, web marketing, web development techniques, and more. You will also complete a 4-to-6 month internship in France or abroad.

At the end of the year, you can either enter professional life or continue with one of our Master's programmes: UX Design, Big Data and Data Strategy or Digital Marketing & Brand Content.

Depending on which BTS you completed, you may also be eligible to join directly in year 3 of the Bachelor Web.
